Mission Statement

"To operate and maintain facilities with Chinook’s Edge in support of the capital plan and the educational plan of the Board to provide students with the opportunity to obtain their academic, personal and teamwork skills necessary for life long learning."

Our Committment

Our Administration, Maintenance and Custodial staff provide professional services and expertise to the Division to ensure compliance standards are met and followed in our Schools and Facilities, and to provide a safe and well maintained environment to staff, students and communities.  Our continued committment to the Capital Plans and projects, Infrastructure Maintenance Renewal Program and modernizations has proven to meet the desired requirements of student and staff growth and new age technology.

Current Capital Projects
and Modernizations

Olds Core High School
Group 2 Architecture
As part of the Community Learning Campus, design and development of the new Core High School in Olds has been completed and tenders to be awarded in late summer of 2007. Construction expected to start in the fall of 2007.

New Olds High Running Track

Transportation Bus Shop
Group 2 Architecture
Situated on the grounds of the Olds College, this new Bus Maintenance Shop is expected to be complete in August 2007.  With added space this new shop will be complimented with up to date mechanical equipment and a large wash bay to accomodate busses.

Carstairs K-4 School
Workun Garrick Architects
Design and development of this new facility to compliment the Community of Carstairs and area is currently underway. Anticipated construction date for the Spring of 2008.


Spruce View School CTS Addition
Barry Architecture
Design and develoment has been completed and tenders have been submitted and reviewed.  Currently waiting Alberta Infrastructure approval.


E-Learning Classrooms
Maintenance Staff
Currently being constructed in the Bowden and Cremona Schools and will operate in conjunction with the Community Learning Campus.
