Wanda Christensen

Key Roles

Wanda is responsible for all areas of Student Services for the schools within Chinook’s Edge School Division.  The Student Services department provides support to all students, but focuses particularly on those who present with diverse, unique and exceptional learning challenges. Wanda plays a key leadership role in advocating for inclusive education and coordinating specialized services at a regional and provincial level.   Her leadership efforts interface with various board initiatives, external agency partnerships, as well as working closely and collaboratively with schools and the Student Services team. She also serves as Liaison Superintendent for the Horizon Alternate, Equinox, and Grimmon House schools.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta in 1987, Wanda has had the honor of serving students, staff and families as a teacher, school counselor, school based administrator and division office leader in four different school boards across Saskatchewan and Alberta.  She is passionate about promoting the positive development of children and youth. During her time as a school based administrator and division office leader, Wanda completed her Master of Education degree (Education Leadership) from University of Lethbridge in 2000 and Master of Science (Education Psychology) from Capella University in 2005.

Wanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being present in nature, golfing, hiking, and travelling.
