Learning Services - Associate Superintendent
Lissa is responsible for all areas of Learning Services for the schools within Chinook's Edge School Division. The Learning Services department provides support to teachers in their curricular needs (including embedding technology into teaching). Lissa is responsible for the Learning Services Learning Support Team, Off Campus Education Programs, and new provincial and board initiatives. She also serves as Liaison Superintendent for schools in Innisfail, Olds, Reed Ranch and Spruce View.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan, she taught in her hometown of Swift Current, Saskatchewan for 2 years. She moved to Alberta in 1990 with her husband and began her career with Chinook's Edge (County of Mountainview). She completed her Master of Education degree (Educational Leadership) from San Diego State Uninversity in 2000 during her time as a school based administrator. In 2001 she began her role as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and completed her Doctor of Education (Graduate Division of Education Reserach) from the University of Calgary in 2010.
Lissa and her husband enjoy golfing, camping and travelling.
